Knowledge and Experience:
Qualifications required: Matric, RE5, RE1 (an advantage), FAIS compliance (minimum of 120 credits at NQF 5)
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Short-Term Insurance across all classes of business including Domestic, Commercial, Marine Cargo, Specialized Cover, Stock Throughput, Corporate Travel, Casualty and Financial Lines
Strong technical expertise in underwriting and claims processes across all class of business
Client service and complex account and claims management, including high-net-worth clients
Strong administrative, negotiation, communication and time management skills
Computer proficiency (MS Office and policy management software)
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and high performance
Conduct policy review, identify risks and implement effective risk control measures
Ensure accurate collection of client and policy details, recording information in the internal policy management system
Ensure adherence to FSCA regulations, including maintaining standards, policies, and client communication
Manage client interactions, resolve complaints, and provide after-sales support to enhance client satisfaction
Handle the sales cycle, renewals, midterm adjustments, and manage policy documentation, collaborating with underwriters as needed
